Today I actually did some research at the library. And of course I used the databases because Mr. Jolly loves databases. I thought I was not going to find much information on my topic, but I actually found more than I thought. I haven't really read all of my information thoroughly, but from what I glimpsed at it looks like I have some pretty good stuff. I found this website where you could find how many registered child molesters there is where you live. I got to see all the registered molesters within 3 miles of my home. It was a little crazy to actually pull up these guys' (and one lady) information with their name, number, age, crime committed of, and a picture of them. I also read some of the bills proposed to get tougher with these offenders. I read some pretty good ideas which caught my attention. Believe it or not, there are some people which think they should be more lenient with sex offenders. Don't they know that the victims have been scarred for life?
Overall, my research went well! I am not quite done yet, I still have to get some more information about my topic.

Today's discussion

So today Mr. Jolly gave out our graded essays. Then he expained to us essay number three and essay number four. Both of them go together. Assignment number three is simply an annotated bibliography. I think this should be fairly easy. But like most of the time for me, my difficulty will simply be choosing the correct topic! I really dislike going through this problem every time. Because once you have a good topic then you are ready to go. Assignment number four is creating a proposal to change, to change something that you don't like at the time. But it is not as easy as that. You have to state the good and the bad with this proposal. And for this essay I believe I truly have to be interested in what I plan to write about. Not only will I enjoy it more, but it will be a lot easier going through research and finding out information that I don't yet know. So today while I am at work, I will try my hardest to successfully choose the best topic for me.

Troubles with essay numero 2

It was really frustrating for me to actually choose a topic for this assignment. The main thing that caused this problem was I did not attend class the day Mr. Jolly introduced the assignment to our class. So I guess I started off on a bad note. When the class was asked to share their topics, I had none. I couldn't think of any good topics that would fulfill the assignments requirements. When I did finally choose one, I worked on my paper at the last minute. I really did not take the time needed to really analyze my topic the way I should have. This is a lesson learned. I will now try my hardest to keep on track.
